My goal is to provide a safe, loving, nurturing and educating atmosphere for your child as my own with love and respect.
I moved from Bangkok, Thailand to the Bay Area and have lived here since 1998. I am married and have a seven and a half-year-old daughter of my own and a twelve-year-old stepdaughter.
I love cooking delicious food for children. I have worked with newborns to children six years old since 1994. I have a degree in Education from a University in completed development childhood from Thailand and have courses in child and early education Contra Costa Community College. I love working, cooking and being around children of all ages.
At The Little Red Wagon, your child will be in a nurturing environment and acquire learning tools to help them grow and develop into a better friend, a problem solver. They will be introduced to an early education that will prepare them from infancy through their toddler and preschool years for elementary school.
For preschool, your child will be involved daily with hands-on material that will express their learning, creativity, artistic and musical abilities. They will learn the important lessons of everyday life, such as working together, taking turns, sharing and being a good friend.
I will always make sure your child has their tummies full from home cooking which we provide along with healthy snacks and drinks for the best day that they can have.
My discipline will only occur as a preventative measure. A child may be removed from the play area to have a "cooling off" period for 2 to 4 minutes and under our watch at all times. Respect and courtesy for others are values that we teach and believe in. Positive praise, positive reinforcement and apologies are key skills that are modeled in this establishment.
All teachers and childcare providers are First Aid and CPR certified.

I'm Wilaiwan Thommaroj
You may call me "Lek". I'm originally from a small village in the Northeast of Thailand. I immigrated to the Bay Area about 3 years ago and currently reside in Oakland with my husband and two daughters. I graduated from the Ramkhamhaeng University, in Bangkok with a Bachelor degree in Political Science.
My work background is mostly in the service industry. In Thailand, I had worked at a popular hotel in Phuket as well as a sales associate at a high-end boutique in the heart of Bangkok.
Working as Daycare Provider at "The Little Red Wagon" is my first job here in America. I find this job to be very rewarding because I enjoy seeing the development of the young minds of the children that come through our doors. Just seeing a child's smile is enough to know that I have one of the greatest jobs in the world.
